Adelino Timothy

Life Story

He was born on February 3, 1970, in the city of Beira. Graduated in Portuguese language teaching, he does not even practice his profession.

Graduated in law, he is currently a journalist of the "Channel of Mozambique". In 2004 he was honored by the Instituto Superior Politécnico e Universitário (ISPU) and in 2007 by the Conselho Municipal da Beira, in the first case for his poetry, in the second, for his cultural contribution to the urbe, as a writer and plastic artist.

He's an honorary citizen of Quelimane. In 1999 he won the SNJ Annual Award for the Best Journalistic Chronicle.

In 2001 he won the National AEMO Poetry Revelation Award. An excerpt of his poems translated into Italian is in the magazine "Dis Uguaglianze". They are publications of this author:
