Amosse Mucavele
Life Story
Born 1987 in Maputo, Mozambique, where he lives. Poet, literary consultant and cultural journalist, coordinator of the literary dissemination project "Sculpting the Word with the Language".
He is founder and curator of the D’Escriptos Temple – International Literary Festival of Portuguese Language, curator of the Maputo Book Fair and the International Book Fair of Quelimane. He was editor of "Literatas – Revista de Literatura Mozambicana e Lusófona", editorial director of the Journal The Telegraph, Editor-in-Chief of the Cultural Journal Debate, Editor of Culture in the ExpressoMoz Journal, Collaborator of the Culture Journal of Angola and Common Word of Galicia – Spain.
He is a member of the Editorial Board of Mallarmargens Magazine (Brazil), the Academy of Letters of Teófilo Otoni (Brazil) and the International Writers Association (Ohio – USA).
He represented Mozambique at the Portuguese Language Poetry Biennial in Luanda (2012), in the Poetics Rays, Vila Nova de Famalicão (2013), at the Córdoba International Poetry Festival (2016) and in 2017 participated in a series of activities in Portugal, namely:
IV Gardunha Literary Festival in Fundão; VI Meeting of Lusophone Writers at the Biennial of Lusophone Cultures, Odivelas; Talk about Mozambican poetry, in the Interculture Center City, Lisbon; Lecture at the University of Lisbon, among others. He gave lectures and creative writing courses in Gaborone, Botswana International Poetry Festival, 2019.
