Gonçalves Patricio

Life Story

Gonçalves Patricio (Djogorro) was born in Mopea, Zambézia. A nested childhood in Quelimane and puberty on Youth Island (Cuba).

It is in this country where his literary scribbles begin having been part of the then OJEKA (Kalungan Young Writers Organization). In the walks of life, the ever-seeking rainbow of (over)living was also there by the bands of the Gauls, in the land of Camões, in the shrine of flamenco, even on the banks of Yang-tse.

The aftermath – from this whole pilgrimage – is a compilation of knowledge and virtues, which, for example, help to write stories that are (un)thankful in volatile maning times. The author has scientific and literary publication scattered in several newspapers and magazines from Mozambique and abroad.

This is his second short story book after "Piripiri na Boca de Djogorro" (2003). He's a member of the Mozambican Writers Association.

It also has the following published books:

  • Social Security Information Systems in Development.
  • Friedrich Ebert-Maputo Foundation (2005).
  • Mozambique: War and Land Mines. University Press Edition, Maputo (2011).
  • International migrations and the development process in northern Mozambique. Published edition, Maputo (2018).
