This book arose from the need to provide the Master's Course in Portuguese Languages and Cultures of the University of Aveiro, systematic information about Portuguese spoken in Mozambique. In this context, and considering the specificity of the target audience, bibliographic references from the Linguistics Area (Bantu) and preferably studies by Mozambicans were selected. This book can help to understand the linguistic context of Portuguese language teaching in Mozambique and the challenges of teachers, students and other education agents in the production and dissemination of knowledge in Portuguese – language that unites and divides Mozambicans
