We are faced with another great paradox of our status as Mozambicans: how is it that in the face of so much tragedy that we are capable of this kind of flashing? In the face of an absolute spectral reality how can there be room for these creative lusters? Of course, they are not surrounded by judgments and, even censorship, often in a severe manner, in relation to what happens. Taruma is a paradigmatic case. He's a deeply critical poet. His censorship is relentless, extremely harsh and often cutting."
