Main Legislation for the Protection of the Rights of Children and Women | Edson Macuacua

This work, entitled Main Legislation for the Protection of the Rights of Children and Women: National legislation, Conventions and International Protocols is a collection comprising national and international normative acts that protect the rights of children and women.

The starting point is the Constitution of the Republic, and in the first chapter, extracts of provisions of the Constitution of the Republic, which protect the rights of children and women, and in a second moment, national laws aimed at protecting the rights of children and women and finally the international conventions and protocols in force in the Republic of Mozambique are explained.

With a view to addressing the dispersion of legislation, the present collection brings together national and international legislation to facilitate access, consultation, interpretation and application, with a view to building a more inclusive society of social justice, with equity in gender relations. The work consists of six chapters: The first chapter is devoted to the extracts of the Constitution of the Republic that are dedicated to the rights of children and women, the second chapter on National Legislation, the third chapter is dedicated to the conventions and protocols of the United Nations, the fourth chapter is reserved for the conventions and protocols of the International Labour Organization, the fifth chapter on the protocols of the African Union and the sixth chapter is dedicated to the protocols and conventions of the SADC.
