Vanessa Riambau Pinheiro is a PhD in Portuguese-speaking Literature by the Postgraduate Program in Literature of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) and postdoctoral degree from the Faculdade de Letras de Lisboa (FLUL).

It has several books published in the area of literary criticism. She was a professor at the University of Costa Rica (UCR) for the Leitorate program, having taught classes in Portuguese Language and Brazilian Literature for hispano hablantes. She was also an Adjunct Professor at the Universidade Estadual da Bahia (UNEB) between 2011 and 2012.

Currently, he coordinates the Study and Research Group in Literature and Contemporary Society (GELISC) at the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB), where she acts as Professor Adjunct in undergraduate and graduate. Integrates the CEsA (Center for Studies on Africa, Asia and Latin America) at the University of Lisbon, where he conducted his post-doctoral research on the formation of the literary canon in Mozambique, completed in 2017.

He participated in the Uniafro collection, writing a chapter on literature in Angola and Mozambique, in a collection promoted in partnership with the Ministry of Culture and aimed at disseminating the history and culture of African countries of Portuguese official language in Brazil.
