On the 18th anniversary of Samora Machel, the book by the authors Allen F. Issacman and Barbara S. Issacman was released and presented publicly on September 29 in Maputo.
The book Samora Machel a life interrupted, A Life cut short depicts a great African leader who was rich, charming and incisive.
The book reminds us how the peoples of Africa have been and must continue to be interdependent.
The prefacer of the book Albie Sachs again mentioned that his generation honors and loves Samora, by the way he transformed the nature of what could be an African revolutionary leader. He indigenized revolutionary theory, fought racism and tribalism and spoke fervently up the emancipation of women. He's loved by the average citizen in Mozambique these days.
The author of the book Allen F. Isaacman, in turn, addressed his experience in Mozambique, mentioned the various occasions and opportunity he spoke with family members to collect content for the development of the book, as well as thanked all who directly or indirectly supported for the publication of this valuable work, which will certainly serve for many other studies and research on the life of Samora Machel.
Long live Samora Machel! The fight continues!
