The story told in this book is the continuation of the first "Teresinha, a life in Mozambique". In summary, in the first one we talk of Teresinha as a woman of the lower social class, the most common of Mozambican society. She's the portrait of the many we crossed along the way, selling everything we can for the family's livelihood. Born in Beira and four years old will live for Maputo. In Maputo he grows up fighting for support with his parents and brothers. It is in this capital city, where you know José, the street vendor who then learns to fish and becomes only a fisherman. Teresinha and José, if they knew each other, they dated and got married. They have three children, involved in the traditions of the South, the Center and the North. The couple and the three children will live for Nacala. Still in Nacala, the couple is adopted by a couple of Portuguese who support them in supporting the family. Meanwhile, the couple must leave the city of urgency for health reasons and return to Portugal, sensitized by the situation of the family, before leaving, they decide to leave some goods to the couple. Teresinha and José make the goods progress, increase the heritage and with a good condition decide to return to Maputo. In Maputo, the family lives in the fishermen's area. Teresinha goes back to studying and graduating in architecture and José continues to progress in the fishing business, becomes a leader of the activity in the area and starts to function as a local advisor.
