On the Edges of the Rainbow
On the Edges of the Rainbow
When, in Inhambane province, a social project designed by a French NGO to provide water to a district that is plagued by a prolonged drought fails in an "inexplicable" way, Gabrielle Galliard is sent to Mozambique to investigate the causes of failure. This quest prompts her to plunge into a colonial past, where she finds herself immersed in the complex history of a family that resided in the district where the project was implemented, and she is forced to exhume an apparently forgotten past. To find the desired answer, Gabrielle realizes that she will also have to question about her own identity and about her (in) certainties about life.
