University Lives – António Prista, Perpétua Gonçalves and Álvaro Carmo
UNIVERSITY LIVES
REPORTS IN FIRST PERSON
This book intends to bear witness to this time when dreams, even if utopian, generated enormous energies and made everyday life exciting, so that, from these rich and palpitating decades of life, not only statistics and reports, or scientific publications, remain.
The testimonies of the professors gathered here are therefore not academic texts. These are personal stories, reports of their professional experience, both inside and outside the university institution.
To produce these testimonies, the authors had to jump out of their territory of professional comfort, and produce autobiographical texts, which involve some creativity, and do not derive from academic parameters.
