I recently accepted a challenge to write an article about the origin of the name of Farinha Babita in the newspaper "O País" in Mozambique and thought it would be there. As this article was quite successful among readers I wrote another set of ten over three months, published in the same newspaper, which constitute this little book of memories to which I named the initial article. I wrote first in honor of my Father who was at the origin of Farinha Babita and so I continued in the second article, which correspond to an important phase of my youth spent in Lourenço Marques, now Maputo, Mozambique, between 1969 and 1974, but I continued with other articles that essentially present interesting stories of my life over five decades and to the present, passing first through Portugal and then through Macau, China, where I reside for about three decades.
