Education and Human Development SECTOR in Zambézia should manage human resources and overtime efficiently and optimisedly to avoid constraints that may affect the performance of employees.
The observation was made by the Minister of the Sector, Carmelita Namashulua, when addressed about the discord generated by the lack of overtime.
He said that education officials in Zambézia have been presenting overtime problems every year, which in his opinion stems from poor management of human resources.
According to Namashulua, research is already under way to understand what is happening and how overtime is allocated.
He added that overtime cannot be invented, with criteria for this.
Last year, due to the crisis resulting from the Covid-19 many teachers took classes above normal.
Everyone was convinced that the hours would be paid, but so far no teacher has been abandoned, which has created celemity and discontent within the class. Last year teachers almost boycotted the exams, but there were promises to pay between February and March, which did not take place. As soon as it was learned that the minister would be in Zambézia, some schools did the survey as a way to encourage pressure.
At the beginning of this year, due to the reduction in the number of students per class, teachers get more classes than recommended, and some teachers are not teaching in the classes too much, allegedly because they will not be paid, leaving some students abandoned to their fate.
During the period in which the classes were paralyzed, last year, some administrative officials prepared sheets of undue overtime, anomalies that were detected by the Provincial Economy and Finance Service, which had the payments cancelled.
